Meridian Speech Pathology, founded by a passionate and experienced mother, provides high-quality, evidence-based, and play-focused speech therapy for children. The founder’s personal journey as a parent of a child with speech difficulties and a child with dyslexia drives her deep understanding of what families go through. She knows firsthand how impactful it can be to have the right support and strives to be that positive and empowering figure in her clients’ lives. Her goal is to make a difference in the journey of each family, offering care and expertise that fosters growth and confidence in every child she works with.

When she approached me for branding, she had a clear vision: professional, with some color, but maintaining a clean and classy aesthetic—nothing too serious, but definitely not cutesy. She wanted to create a welcoming, safe space for families while instilling confidence in her ability to provide essential services. However, she was concerned that her preference for darker colors might clash with the typically vibrant, playful tones associated with pediatric speech therapy. Branding was one of the biggest investments for her business, and though she initially felt apprehensive about whether the final product would meet her expectations, she was relieved to find we could collaborate openly. Together, we crafted a brand that captured her vision perfectly.

In developing the branding for Meridian Speech Pathology, we took a deep dive into the brand strategy, thoroughly exploring all possibilities to ensure the result aligned perfectly with her vision. The process involved understanding her goals and the emotional connection she wanted to create with families seeking her services. I presented two distinct concepts, each carefully crafted to reflect her values and approach. She loved both concepts, but ultimately chose Concept 1, incorporating select elements from Concept 2 to create a balanced and cohesive brand that resonated with her target audience and business identity.

The final branding featured a mood-board with a calming color palette, primarily composed of blue hues and cooler purples. This combination evoked a sense of loyalty, calm, and trust while adding a subtle playfulness that felt approachable to children and families. The use of hand-drawn illustrations brought a personal and playful touch to the design, reflecting the boutique nature of the services and appealing to the younger generation. This personalised approach helped position her business as warm, professional, and uniquely tailored to the needs of children and their families.

Each colour in the joyful palette carries its own symbolism: the blue hues evoke trust and tranquility, while the cooler purples and pinks represent creativity and playfulness. The polished branding instills trust while maintaining a sense of warmth and playfulness, ensuring that both parents and children feel supported from the moment they encounter the clinic’s identity.
